By 40,000 years in the past, humans have been creating musical devices and two- and three-dimensional pictures of the world around them. Within the art studio at EVCS, artwork is a car used to explore, look at, and understand the distinctive ways that artists throughout time and house have helped to shape the world they reside in. Practicing art-making based on thematic subjects and artists’ course of, college students will perceive how artists develop ideas, in addition to learn how to work and assume like an artist.
Performances within the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, onstage within the College’e state-of-the-artwork Jeanne Y. Curtis Performance Hall, exhibitions on campus and at ArtsWorcester’s metropolis middle gallery, and internships at venues starting from Fitivity to the Worcester Artwork Museum all display the creative aptitude of Assumption college students.
This fund helps a wide range of music types together with: notated composition; electroacoustic music; improvised music (together with modern, original jazz); sound art; set up sound; multimedia, web and movie sound and music; and theatrical, operatic and choreographed music.
For infants, toddlers, preschoolers and the adults who love them, this distinctive program (developed by the Heart for Music and Young Kids in Princeton, New Jersey) gives households an opportunity to sing, dance and play rhythm instruments together in a relaxed, playful, non-efficiency-oriented setting.
